Bridge the gap between ‘what you see’ and ‘what you get’

While this workshop does feature a quick brush-up of the concepts of photography, it focuses more on the aspect of taking pictures, understanding the modes of a camera and developing a ‘good eye’, which will eventually reduce the effort and enhance the quality of your pictures.

The workshop will be conducted by photographer and photojournalist, Omkar Kocharekar

ABOUT OMKAR KOCHAREKAR

Omkar Kocharekar is a photographer and photojournalist from Mumbai. With almost a decade of experience photographing professionally, and being mentored by some of the finest photographers from the press, Omkar has built a steady reputation as a photojournalist and is somewhat of a street photography icon in Mumbai.

Omkar received his education in photography from one of the finest universities of India, Sir J.J. School of Applied Arts and was one of the top contestants in India’s first photography show, the prestigious Nat-Geo Mission Cover Shot.

After being associated with the Indian press for several years, Omkar sought to take his skill to the next level and landed a job as the director of photography on Asia’s biggest photography and filmmaking channel, GMax Studios. Since then he’s gone on to shoot and direct over a 150 assignments and has photographed some of the biggest celebrities in India and abroad.

A pad, a pen, a good mood and an open mind. If you own a camera, bring it.


WHAT’S THE FEE?

5000 Indian Rupees (Inclusive of GST and taxes)

SCHEDULE

The workshop begins at 10am (please don’t be late, we will start without you)

10am - 1pm: Fundamentals of the camera & understanding the importance of exposure in photography

1pm - 2pm: Lunch

2pm - 4:30pm: Lensing - Using different focal lengths to convey a story

4:30pm: Tea Break

4:45 - 7pm: Practical application of the modules mentioned above

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN DURING THE COURSE OF THE WORKSHOP

You will be able to master your camera by understanding the various modes and how they are used in conveying a good story through your photographs.
